Which digital tools do we use to automatically collect personal data?

Svensk e-identitet uses various digital tracking tools in order to collect information about users’ usage
of our website and when they interact with us.

Cookies are small text files containing information about web browsers etc. They are sent to the user’s computer from the website. When someone visits our website, in most web browsers they will have the opportunity to accept cookies. Visitors can change these settings at any time in their web browser.

Pixel tags may be used on the website or in e-mail. Pixel tags are digital images that are usually invisible, used to collect information about visits to websites. They may be used to learn how many people click on an advertisement or respond to a campaign.

We use the e-mail programme Mailchimp to send large batches of e-mails, to provide information about services and products to customers and stakeholders, as well as operating information. The programme makes it possible to place a pixel tag in an e-mail in order to monitor statistics. Individuals are never identified and tracked.

Google Analytics provides cookies for information about activity on the website, such as the number of page views, web browsers, time spent, entry and exit pages etc. Individuals are never identified and tracked However the tool can be used to continually improve the website for users and protect their privacy.

Google AdWords provides a code that allows its customers to evaluate which advertisements and pages result in visits to a particular web page or to a contact form. This allows us to customise advertisements to relevant content that people are searching for on Google, and thus to employ our search budget efficiently. Individuals are never identified and tracked.

Svensk e-identitet does not currently use Google Adwords Remarketing, but it may do so in the future. The tool is used to place cookies on a computer, in order to display an advertisement by us that might interest a visitor, based on previous searches on our website. Individuals are never identified and tracked.

You can block information generated by Google’s cookies with tools provided by Google. http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
