GDPR and privacy – Whose data do we process and on what grounds?

To manage our customer relationships in order to fulfil our commitments, Svensk e-identitet needs to process personal data related to the role of customer contact or user. The purposes of processing personal data are:

  • Delivering and providing information about services and products, as well as fulfilling agreements with customers and users.
  • Replying to inquiries about our products and services.
  • Providing support to users of our products and services.
  • Evaluating and improving the quality, functionality and user experience of our products, services and websites.
  • Detecting, managing and preventing security threats.
  • Preventing misuse of our services and products.
  • Processing orders, invoices and other financial information.
  • Ensuring the functionality of our services and products.
  • Creating relevant marketing for our products and services.
  • Training and enabling communication between users/customers and Svensk e-identitet.

The legal grounds for processing personal information according to 1 to 9 in the list above are primarily “legitimate interest”, in order to process personal data from a business perspective in a responsible manner that does not violate your rights. The legal grounds for item 10 are “consent”. Svensk e-identitet also processes personal data from contact persons who display interest in our services and products. The legal grounds for processing are primarily express consent.
